Yesterday, President Muhammadu Buhari undraped the successor to patriarch Kpotun Idris as an officer of Police(IGP).
The new Inspector General of police is AIG Mohammed Abubakar Adamu and has been appointed in an acting capacity.
According to our source, the new acting Police boss hails from Lafia, Nasarawa State and holds a BSc in Geography.
The new acting Police boss joined the Force on 1 February 1986 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police
Before his new appointment, he was a Directing Staff at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, Plateau State. He was Commissioner of Police in Ekiti and Enugu State, still as Assistant officer of Police answerable of Zone five Police Command Headquarters, Benin, Edo State.
