A great battle in the world of sport, the Tennis section specifically. A great contest between Heather Watson and Anastasia Potapova ended up with a victory in favor of the 17-year-old Russian Anastasia Potapova.
She (Watson) has not won on WTA main draw since reaching the Quebec City Semi-finals, as she has lost to the Russian teenager Anastasia Potapova at the Hungarian Open.
Watson, aged 26, lost 6-4 2-6 7-6 (7-4) against the 17-year-old Anastasia in Budapest.
She has been reported to have dropped to 111th in the world, but led 5-3 in the final set before Potapova won the next three games.
Watson was the more frustrated in the latter stages of a tense, two-hour contest, often throwing her racquet onto the court and sitting on her chair holding her head in her hands at each changeover, as she realized that the possibility of a first main-draw win since reaching the Quebec City semi-finals slipped away.
