It was released by a group of medical/health research team, that a promising HIV vaccine experimental specimen, demonstrated it power by neutralizing HIV strains in Mice, Guinea Pigs and Monkeys, and is almost ready for human testing.
These findings were first published on June 4th in The Journal Nature Medicine, and was lead by various investigators from the National institute of Allergy and infections Diseases, which falls under the National Institutes of Health. Peter D. Kwong, Ph.D, and John R. Mascola, M.D., Chief of the research center and director, respectively, leaded in the Study. Anthony S. Fauci, M.D had said NIH scientists have used their detailed knowledge of the structure of HIV to find an unusual site of vulnerability on the virus and design a novel and potentially powerful Vaccine.
He also narrated that the elegant study is a potentially important step forward in the ongoing quest to develop a safe and effective HIV vaccine.
It was made known that human trials will be conducted in the second half of 2019.
